Ethical Property provides workspace to inspiring social change organisations around the country, and we are fortunate to have a large and diverse shareholder group who prioritise investing with impact. This gives us the responsibility to report not just on our financial position but the impact we make on society and the environment.
The role of Non-Executive Director is to guide and challenge our Senior Management Team, to ensure that the Company is working in the interests of all our investors and to act on their behalf. With one vacancy to fill this year, we welcomed applications from shareholders and external candidates with a proven strategic profile in the commercial or voluntary sectors, alongside a passion for social business.
Abena is the Managing Director of a B Corp certified, sustainable events company, and has worked in roles across architecture and as a social landlord. She has over 20 years of experience leading initiatives in sustainability, social impact, and the built environment across the public, private and charitable sectors. She has joined Ethical Property as a Non-Executive Director of the Board this year.

Sessions are happening weekly on Wednesdays, starting at 1pm for 1 hour.
This summer we all witnessed either in person or on the news, the horrific actions of those who side with the far right. As a company who provide workspace to many organisations who support refugees, we were upset that many of our tenants found themselves the threats of such violent attacks, and were careful to not make any mention of them at the time as they were fearful that providing details or even an indication of where they were based would put them in danger.

What work does your organisation do?
We are an international development organisation, working mostly in adult education and literacy projects. Our work focuses on countries in Africa and Asia. Our focus areas are health education, citizenship, and economic empowerment.
