Our centre in Sheffield - Scotia Works is a beautifully refurbished 19th century building formerly a cutlery factory, which has been developed into a vibrant workspace and desk space for many organisations.
Space is available for those making positive impact: charities, non-profits, social enterprises, ethical businesses and local community organisations. We encourage collaboration and community here at Scotia Works, with offices from 1 to 12 people available, ranging from 8m² in size to 60m².
We believe in doing good. That means flexible contracts, fantastic facilities, and fair prices.
Scotia Works, a former cutlery works factory, was refurbished in 2000, and is currently owned and managed by Ethical Property. Whilst preserving the original features and character of the building it was also important to combine modern design and innovative energy saving features. The centre itself is light and airy while retaining much of the old materials and feel of its industrial past. It has a strong environmental design, and the central courtyard is a great place for informal meetings and events, encouraging groups to work together and share resources. Centre features include; exposed brick walls, lots of natural light, a covered communal courtyard, and a central glass atrium.
With 60m² of workspace available, the Scotia Works is the perfect workspace in Sheffield. You can make use of a wide range of meeting rooms and communal space. Whilst the refurbishment has produced a lovely building and workspaces, it’s the people located here that provide its real heart, because we believe some of the best ideas happen away from your desk!
