Impact reporting is no longer a "nice to have". For organisations that genuinely care about creating positive social and environmental change, it is an essential part of being accountable, transparent and trustworthy. The decisions we make every day have an impact and understanding that impact is the first step towards improving it. For the last couple of decades, we have been independently audited and shared the results.

Why Impact Reporting Matters

At its heart, impact reporting is about honesty.

It's about being open about what we're doing well, recognising where we can improve, and providing clear evidence of the difference we make. Rather than relying on broad claims or ambitious statements, impact reporting allows organisations to back up their commitments with measurable data and real-world outcomes.

For our tenants, partners and stakeholders, this transparency provides confidence. It demonstrates that we take our responsibilities seriously and that our commitment to sustainability, social value and environmental performance goes beyond words.

Just as importantly, it helps us hold ourselves accountable. By measuring and reporting our impact year after year, we can track progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure that our actions remain aligned with our values.

Going Beyond the Annual Impact Report

While many organisations publish an annual impact report, we believe transparency should be visible throughout the year and across every part of our business.

That's why we don't simply publish our impact data once a year and move on.

Every one of our centres displays its own environmental impact information, and we publish this data on each centre's webpage. This allows anyone interested in a specific location to see the environmental performance of that centre, rather than relying solely on organisation-wide figures.

By making local impact data available, our tenants can better understand the environmental footprint of the buildings and spaces they occupy. This information supports informed decision-making and helps organisations evaluate and improve their own environmental impact in turn.

Transparency Over Greenwashing

Environmental claims are increasingly common, but meaningful impact is about far more than marketing messages.

We believe that transparency means sharing the full picture. Not just the headlines, but the data behind them.

Publishing centre-specific environmental information helps us avoid the trap of greenwashing. Rather than hiding behind jargon, vague sustainability claims or selective reporting, we provide clear information that people can review for themselves.

This approach means our achievements can be celebrated, but it also means we remain accountable for areas where there is still work to do. Genuine impact reporting is not about perfection. It's about continuous improvement, supported by evidence.

Supporting Impact-Driven Organisations

Many of the organisations that choose to locate within our centres are themselves committed to creating positive social, environmental or economic impact.

These organisations expect more than promises. They want partners who share their values and who are willing to be open about their own performance.

By publishing both organisation-wide and centre-specific impact data, we give our tenants the information they need to assess their own impact and report more accurately to their stakeholders. In doing so, we create an environment where transparency, accountability and continuous improvement are shared priorities.

Building Trust Through Openness

Trust is earned through openness.

Our commitment to publishing detailed impact information reflects our belief that organisations should be judged not just by what they say, but by what they do. By making our environmental performance visible at both organisational and centre level, we enable meaningful conversations, informed decisions and collective action.

For us, impact reporting is more than an annual exercise. It is part of how we operate every day.

Because when organisations are willing to measure, share and learn from their impact, everyone benefits. Our tenants, our communities and our planet deserve nothing less.
