The Ethical Property Company is run by a staff team of 100 based within our Centres across the UK. Our Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations and HR departments are based in our Oxford Head Office, working alongside tenants in The Old Music Hall.

  • Paul Bellack, Non-Executive Board Member, Ethical Property

    Paul Bellack

    Non-executive Director
    Paul joined The Ethical Property Company in 1999 after 19 years with Sun Life of Canada as Property Fund Manager. Paul founded and runs a commercial property investment company and has worked with social change groups including the Big Issue and Out Of This World on a variety of property matters.
  • Juliet Can, Non-executive Director, Ethical Property

    Juliet Can

    Non-executive Director
    Juliet Can is Director of Stour Space, a social enterprise providing affordable workspace for the creative sector. Juliet has also co-led the formation of the Hackney Wick & Fish Island Community Development Trust and sits on the Board of the London Community Land Trust. Juliet has 20 years’ experience working in the charity and social enterprise sectors and she has worked on social justice issues such as supporting victims of human trafficking, refugees, health promotion, and women’s rights.
  • Sam Clarke, Chair, Ethical Property

    Sam Clarke

    Sam has chaired a number of value driven organisations including Friends of the Earth, New Economics Foundation, and the Climate Coalition. He is currently chair of the Low Carbon Hub and Charity Mentors. Sam lives in Oxford and previously chaired the company from 2000 to 2010.
  • Mark Luntley, Non-Executive Board Member, Ethical Property

    Mark Luntley

    Non-executive Director
    Mark joined Ethical Property in 2013. A qualified accountant, Mark is also Non Executive Director of Energy4All. Mark also chairs the Oxfordshire Credit Union and is a Director of the Westmill Windfarm Co-op and Westmill Solar Coops. Mark is an elected board member of REScoop - the federation of European Renewable Energy Cooperatives.
  • Monica Middleton, Non-executive Director Ethical Property

    Monica Middleton

    Non-executive Director
    Passionate about ventures that focus on a quantifiable social and environmental impact alongside financial return, she was National Managing Director for the UK/Ireland arm of Dutch co-operative and social investor, Oikocredit. Monica has previously been a non-executive director for Cafedirect’s Guardian Sustainable Company and is currently Chair of Women in Social Finance, and a non-executive Director for the start-up development phase of FaithInvest.
  • Anne Marie O'Hara, Non-Executive Director, Ethical Property

    Anne Marie O'Hara

    Non-executive Director
    Anne-Marie has worked in various property, charity and grant giving roles for over 25 years. She led the Property Planning, Projects and European Funding Team at the National Trust for Scotland, the county’s largest environmental charity. Anne-Marie has also worked in central and local government and at a senior level for both the Heritage and Big Lottery Funds where she was involved in the development and implementation of a variety of major grant funded capital projects in Scotland.
  • Conrad Peberdy, MD

    Conrad Peberdy

    Managing Director
    Conrad joined Ethical Property in December 2009 having previously worked as Managing Director of Bristol East Side Traders; an innovative Bristol based regeneration company. He is responsible for developing new business opportunities, partnerships and the acquisition of new Centres.

    Jonathan Davies

    Deputy Managing Director
    Jonathan joined Ethical Property in 2016, previously a Director of a developer Housing Association responsible for corporate services and executive lead for a culture change programme enabling growth and raising performance. His operations and supply chain background in industry and Big 4 consulting featured operations transformation, procurement and service improvement delivery.

  • Deborah Hughes, Ethical Property, Head of PR and Communications

    Deborah Hughes

    Head of PR and Communications
    Deborah joined Ethical Property in 2017. Starting her career in broadcast journalism she has an extensive background in Media and PR, including 15 years heading up the internal media team for Macmillan Publishers. Deborah is responsible for our PR and Communications team.
  • Cate

    Cate Teideman

    Head of Finance
    Cate joined Ethical Property in November 2015 and has previously worked as an accountant in banking and opera. She completed a BA Hons in Sustainable Performance Management and is a Chartered Management Accountant.

    Kamran Ahmed

    HR Executive
    Kamran joined Ethical Property in September 2018. He has previously worked in various areas of HR within a broad spectrum of industries including: Manufacturing, Retail, Automotive and International Development. He has a BA Business Administration and MA in Human Resource Management. Outside work, Kamran enjoys keeping fit and plays badminton.

    Catherine Bhaoilligh-Sander

    Sales Manager
    Catherine joined Ethical Property in 2018 , having previously studied International Relations at LSE and worked for several years in sales and digital marketing. Catherine is responsible for leading on sales enquiries for all our properties, and in her spare time volunteers in disability advocacy.

    Marketing Executive
    Katerina joined Ethical Property in January 2017 having graduated in 2015 with a BSc Hons degree in Psychology. She now helps to look after the Company's social media, marketing and communications under our Head of PR & Communications.

    Having previously worked in childcare before moving into finance in 2007, Holly joined Ethical Property in 2012 as a Finance Assistant and has since completed her level 4 diploma in accountancy.

    Andrew Brewin

    Management Account
    Andy joined Ethical Property in 2011 having qualified as a Management Accountant in 2004 and previously worked at Taylor Wimpey. He now also runs a mobile bicycle repair business and is therefore responsible for ensuring we all get to work each day.
  • Sarah Campbell

    Sarah Campbell

    Regional Manager, South West
    Sarah joined Ethical Property in 2012 having spent 10 years working for the Meningitis Research Foundation, latterly as Head of Fundraising. She also volunteers with Secret World Wildlife Sanctuary and is a trustee for Temwa, a charity dealing with sustainable community development in Malawi.

    Edward joined Ethical Property in February 2016. At university he studied Law and has a MA in Housing Practice, as well as being a Prince2 Practitioner. Edward gained experience in property and estate management at a medium sized RSL (Registered Social Landlord) and managing a customer focused team at the University of Westminster.

    Gareth joined Ethical Property in 2016 after working at the Department Of Transport in Swansea as the programme management office manager and then as facilities and estates manager. Before joining the Department of Transport he worked at the Royal Mail for 25 years as a project manager, working on transport projects and accommodation and office planning projects.

    Hazel joined Ethical Property in 2015 and has a background working for a number of local and national charities on community-based regeneration projects. Hazel is responsible for the management and maintenance of Scotia Works.

    David has worked at Ethical Property since September 2015. David has a BA in Film, Theatre and Television. Previously he spent 8 years as Manager of the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton. He is passionate about environmental issues and is always looking for ways to make the Bristol buildings more environmentally friendly.

    Andy Higson

    Operations Manager
    Andy joined Ethical Property in 2005 following completion of a Law Degree and PgDip in Legal Practice, having previously worked for the Ministry of Defence and Stena Line UK. He has gained a wealth of experience by managing our properties in London, overseeing the refurbishment and opening of The Old Music Hall, and as Regional Manager for Oxford. Since 2013 he has been our Operations Manager including responsibility for tenancy agreements and other legal matters. Alongside these roles he has also assisted the Board on governance and compliance issues as Assistant Company Secretary since 2007.

    Office and Bookings Administrator, Bristol
    Charlotte graduated in English Literature & Community Engagement in 2017 from Bristol University. Charlotte brings many years working in the charity and voluntary sector from administration through to event and artist management. She joined Ethical Property's Bristol cluster in January 2018 as Office and Bookings Administrator and values the work of the various tenants within Bristol communities.

    Jonathan joined Ethical Property in March 2016, having previously worked in a variety of senior roles for national charities, developing and managing services for people with a learning disability. Jonathan’s experience of supporting dispersed teams, across a wide geographical area, is key to managing the North and Midlands Region.

    Jo joined Ethical Property in 2014 having previously worked for an architectural practice in Central London and as Spa Manager at a luxury hotel. She volunteers with Riding for the Disabled in her spare time and runs marathons for fun.

    Centre Manager, London
    Johanna holds a MA in Public Management and a BA in Journalism - Mass Media Communication. She has worked for the Ministry of Culture of Colombia and has more than 10 years experience in the formulating, monitoring, evaluation and diffusion of programmes and projects aimed at all artists, researchers and managers in the social and cultural sector.

    Centre Manager, Bath
    Claire has worked at Green Park Station for over 11 years having previously worked for a Bath newspaper and an environmental charity. Claire manages all aspects of our two properties in Bath and has a keen interest in environmental and social issues.

    Gillian has worked at Ethical Property Company since November 2014 and is the Finance Assistant responsible for The Ethical Property Company’s Purchase Ledger. She has previously worked in the Finance Departments of various organisations including a charity, a law firm and the NHS.

    Penny joined Ethical Property in June 2017. She graduated with a BSc Hons degree in Sports Therapy in 2012 and worked in retail and management for five years before becoming an Operations Assistant.

    Andrew joined Ethical Property in 2014 having graduated from Bristol University with a BA in Music. He has previously worked in the charity and retail sectors and now assists our Operations Manager with a wide range of administrative tasks.

    Sandy joined Ethical Property in February 2012 having previously worked for 10 years for a local bus company in various financial and administrative roles. She is now also studying for her Level 3 Diploma in Accounting.

    Abi joined Ethical Property in November 2017 having previously worked in a number of HR and payroll positions within a variety of different industries, including not-for-profit and property management. Abi used to run her own dog walking business, and is now currently studying to become a dog behaviourist.
