Has the pandemic taken it’s toll on the mental health of you, your loved ones, your friends or your colleagues? If you answered yes to this question, don’t miss this 1 hour interactive session for some practical and pragmatic solutions to helping yourself and others cope better with life’s current challenges. The session will cover an introduction into what mental health is, and importantly give you some essential tips and techniques of how to look after and improve your own mental health, and how to support someone else struggling with theirs.

Unprecedented times have caused numerous people worldwide to struggle with their mental health. With increased levels of stress, loneliness, anxiety and depression during times of crisis, as this pandemic has seen, psychological support is needed now for so many.

The session will include:

  • An explanation of what mental health is and how we measure it
  • An understanding of the impact of stress of our lives, and why the COVID pandemic has seen such a catastrophic effect on the state of the nation’s mental health
  • How to spot signs of stress and mental ill-health in yourself and others
  • Practical tools and tips on how to deal with these difficulties yourself, and help support, friends, colleagues and family members who are finding it hard to cope

As well as giving a key overview of mental health first aid, Laura will share many of the techniques from her coaching training to really enable both trained mental health first aiders something new, or people new to mental health first aid a really good structure of how to start those vital conversations, as well as the confidence that they can, and will be able to help someone in distress who needs it.

As always, there will be time for a Q&A at the end of the session.
