Scotia Works, a former cutlery works factory, was refurbished in 2000, and is currently owned and managed by Ethical Property. Whilst preserving the original features and character of the building it was also important to combine modern design and innovative energy saving features. The centre itself is light and airy while retaining much of the old materials and feel of its industrial past. It has a strong environmental design, and the central courtyard is a great place for informal meetings and events, encouraging groups to work together and share resources. Centre features include; exposed brick walls, lots of natural light, a covered communal courtyard, and a central glass atrium.
Some of the current tenants at Scotia Works include Sheffield domestic abuse outreach service and Northern refugee centre.
With 60m² of workspace available, the Scotia Works is the perfect workspace in Sheffield. You can make use of a wide range of meeting rooms and communal space. Whilst the refurbishment has produced a lovely building and workspaces, it’s the people located here that provide its real heart, because we believe some of the best ideas happen away from your desk! Come and join us.
