For six years, Oxfam has been working towards the introduction of a global Arms Trade Treaty. Their campaigning so far has led to some activity from the UK government, including statements of support from Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg and Foreign Secretary William Hague, as well as Labour Leader Ed Miliband.
The next few months represent an unprecedented opportunity to bring this deadly trade under control. If the sales of bananas and dinosaur bones can be regulated by global treaties, so can the sale of arms. For more information and details of how you can lend your support, please click here.

Bees are amazing – but they are in trouble and need our help. Farmers, growers and gardeners in the UK benefit by an estimated £1.8 billion every year from the free services provided by bees and other insects in pollinating flowers, fruits and crops.
Friends of the Earth’s Bee Cause, aims to highlight the benefits of not only honey bees, but all the other 250-odd species that fly in Britain too. Their top target is David Cameron, who they are asking to personally endorse a National Bee Action Plan to arrest the causes of their decline. To show our support, Ethical Property is committed to making the gardens in all of our Bristol properties more bee friendly.
