Ethical Property Win Gold 2nd Year Running
Congratulations to our team in Bristol, who for the second year running are winners at the South West Fairtrade Business Awards.
Sarah Campbell, regional manager for the Southwest and David Fells one of our Centre Managers based in Bristol attended the ceremony at New Bristol Brewery in St. Paul’s on Friday 9th March. Nominees and guests were addressed by Urania Liseth Hernández, a female Fairtrade producer from Nicaragua, who spoke about how women in her cooperative are empowered by Fairtrade programmes.
The team picked up the Gold award for best Fairtrade office, David explained a little as to why Fairtrade is so important to Ethical Property “Supporting Fairtrade has a great effect not just on the people receiving the better prices but also on their families and communities. The Fairtrade Foundation helps educate farmers in responsible farming and so buying Fairtrade also benefits the environment”.
Sarah, David and the team are already planning on how they can make this three-in-a-row in 2019.
