Free Tibet is a non-profit organisation that stands for Tibetan self-determination and human rights, and campaigns for an end to the Chinese occupation of Tibet.

Free Tibet works with governments and the UN's human rights mechanisms to hold China to account, and alongside our supporters expose systematic rights violations through campaigning and raising awareness. We are independent of government and funded almost entirely by our members and supporters.

Ethical Property and The Grayston Centre provide a wonderful, reasonably priced and environmentally-friendly working space in the hub of central London, without which we could not function as we do.

MLDI helps journalists and independent media outlets defend their right to do their job without harassment by ensuring they have strong legal representation.
 
We help to pay legal fees when necessary, and provide legal back-up to defence teams through our global network of specialists. We also support organisations that provide legal services to the media in their own countries. Our understanding of the legal challenges faced by the media in various countries, access to top expertise at the international level and ability to deploy resources quickly and effectively, makes MLDI unique.
