Jonathan worked as both a lawyer and property developer in New York City, Chicago and New Jersey for 21 years before moving to Scotland and joining The Ethical Property Company. His interests lie in sustainable and environmentally efficient construction and maintenance as well as the social perspectives of planning and development. He manages Thorn House in Edinburgh and seeks new opportunities for expansion in Scotland.

Jonathan graduated in 1982 from Boston University where he received a B.S. in Communication Law and in 1986 from The Cardozo School of Law in New York City with the degree of Juris Doctor.
