We host events and themed markets throughout the year. Whether it’s local music, dancing displays, exhibitions or campaigns, Green Park Station is a regular location for locally-focused events.
The Market Square at Green Park Station is open seven days a week to shoppers, and we work to promote their work and trade.
Our covered outdoor market square is ideal for themed events, campaigns, arts and music, and is host to a wide variety of activities in Bath’s annual calendar.
We provide office space to a variety of social change organisations serving the Bath area. The South Vaults is below the main Green Park Station Concourse.
Green Park Station is a thriving platform for local life and culture right in the heart of Bath, providing space for local, ethical businesses and organisations to grow.

Green Park Station was originally Queen Square Station, built in
the 1860s, and in operation as a working station until the
1960s.
As well as a local stopping service to Bristol, it formed part of a
direct line from cities in the north to the south coast. The Pines
Express ran regularly throughout the year, especially throughout
the summer.
By the 1950s, holidaymakers were flocking to Green Park Station in
order to escape to the coast! Changes to British Rail led to
services being slowly wound down, and the doors were finally closed
on 7 March 1966 as the last train from Bristol pulled in.
The derelict site was restored as retail and market space in the
1980s and has provided a space to support local businesses and
events ever since. A full display of the Station’s remarkable
100 year history can be found in the Station foyer. Why not pop in
for a visit?
