Friends Meeting House wants Ethical management

We’re working with the Bath Quaker group to undertake building maintenance and improvements to their Meeting House in Bath, as well as to help develop their meeting rooms for hire to more social change groups in the city.

The Meeting House is staffed entirely by members of the congregation, who were finding it increasingly difficult to find the time to undertake day to day management and maintenance, as well as manage the hire of their meeting halls.  They therefore got in touch with us to see if we could help develop the Meeting House and work with them to ensure the day to day property management.

Since September 2009 we’ve undertaken a full building audit and are now managing all the maintenance of the centre.  We’re also working with them on the possible future options for developing the space.  Ethical Property has a long history of working with Quaker Groups around the country – our first ever office was inside the Friend’s Meeting House in Oxford, many moons ago!  Local Quaker groups are really active in peace and social justice issues nationally and internationally, so we’re really happy to be able to play a small part in helping them get the message out by working with them to improve their Meeting House in Bath.

The Friends meeting house is right in the heart of the city centre and already provides regular meeting spots for the Green Party, Woodcraft Folk and Bath Stop the War amongst others.
