The Ethical Property Company was ten years old last year. We have come a long way since we undertook our first share issue in May 1999. It's been an exciting ten years, characterised by strong and steady growth, and this last year has been our most successful yet.
The 2010 Ethical Property AGM was held on Friday 19th March at
the Amnesty International Human Rights Action Centre in central
London. Our AGM provides Shareholders with an
opportunity to meet the Board, discuss issues around the direction
of the company, and celebrate the successes of previous
years. It is also a chance for business
partners and other interested parties to meet Directors, staff
and shareholders to learn more about
the Company.
The day was a great success with a lot of positive
feedback from those shareholders who
attended. Our Directors presented our
accounts and progress over the previous 12 months, which are
detailed in our annual report, below. John
Hilary, Director of War on Want, based in Development
House, gave an inspiring address on improving social
justice through lessons learned out of the recent
economic crisis.
Seminars this year focused on social investment, the
diversification of the Ethical Property model, and creating the
ideal Ethical Property, and resulted in a lot of useful discussion
and debate, which will be taken forward by the company in the
coming 12 months.
