We are always on the look out for the right
person to help us take the company forward. The company is small, but
growing fast. We need people who are multi-skilled, with a long term commitment
to the issues and the company and willing to work hard. We are striving to be an equal opportunity employer. Therefore we aim to treat all workers and job applicants equally. There will be no discrimination in respect of marital/carer status, gender, sexuality, disability, age, religion, nationality, ethnic origin or vulnerability. There will be no discrimination on these grounds in the terms and conditions offered to workers or job applicants. The only basis for promotion or selection is the management's considered opinion of the applicant's suitability for the job. All staff (including board members) have a legal and moral obligation not to discriminate and to report incidents of discrimination against any individual or group of individuals. Anyone found to be discriminating will face disciplinary proceedings. To ensure that this policy is operating effectively (and for no other purpose) the company maintains records of employees' and applicants' nationality, marital/parental status, colour, age, gender, sexuality, religion, disability and whether they are vulnerable employees. Ongoing monitoring and regular analysis of such records provide the basis for appropriate action to eliminate unlawful direct and indirect discrimination and promote equality of opportunity. The Ethical Property Company is keen to offer a suitable
work environment to people with barriers to the labour market. We have
employed two staff through a partnership with Clean Slate/The Big Issue
Foundation and are looking to develop more partnerships with other organisations.
We would like to hear from individuals and organisations who have experience
in placing and/or supporting vulnerable employees. Please contact cecile@ethicalproperty.co.uk
for further information. As part of our ethical guidelines, we believe that the differential between the lowest and highest paid worker in the company should not exceed 1:5. This means that the more junior or lower-skilled posts tend to benefit from above-average salaries while the more senior posts' salaries tend to be lower than in the commercial sector. We believe that if you are to work with us you need to be committed to the work more than to the money. Our jobs come with substantial benefits. We provide
a secure and pleasant environment and all permanent staff enjoy generous
benefits, including for example an employers pension contribution of 6%
of gross salary, at least 25 days holiday a year in addition to public
holidays, an employee share ownership scheme and a company bike! All our current vacancies are listed on the Jobs
Now page. |
