Joint Ventures Although we can offer tenants greater security than a commercial landlord, many social change organisations would still wish to own their own property. We are therefore planning to devise a joint venture scheme by which tenants can share in the ownership of a property with us, or can later purchase a property from us once developed. One proposal is to develop a local regeneration fund. This would mean that we would develop properties in regeneration areas with the specific intention of selling the property on to a local organisation once developed. This would then allow the local organisation to own a property without undertaking the full risk of development. The money realised from the sale of the property could then be used by the company to set up further centres. |
