Internet and Communications Technology

The development of effective Internet, e-mail and telephone systems for our tenants is a key focus of activity for the company. Broadband links have now been installed in all our properties. We also have sophisticated telephone systems in Brunswick Court, Durham Road and Roundhay Road. These will be offered as standard in all new centres. Low cost calls are provided through the Phone Co-Op, a fellow ethical business. We also offer computer support to our tenants.

We are developing further IT services such as VPN (remote access for tenants to their computers over the Internet), Voice over IP (telephone calls made free over the Internet), automatic anti-virus provision and NetEthical, an Extranet provided by the company for use by tenants and shareholders.
