Jamie Hartzell

Jamie Hartzell is the founder of the Ethical Property Company and has been its Managing Director since 1998. He has also been heavily involved in developing trading mechanisms in ethical shares, first working with Triodos Bank on Ethex, and more recently persuading brokers Brewin Dolphin to run matched bargain markets for Ethical Property, Traidcraft and Café Direct.

In his past life Jamie was an award winning documentary film-maker on environment and development issues for Channel 4 and the BBC and has travelled extensively in developing countries. He was also assistant director of the charity Television Trust for the Environment before setting up his own production company Small World. He has also worked as a press and parliamentary officer for the World Development Movement.
