Durham Road Resource
Centre
86
Durham Rd, London, N7 7DT
The property was originally built in 1985
by Islington Council as a Neighbourhood Office to provide services
to the local community, but closed in 1998. The Council agreed to
sell to the Ethical Property Company at 'best value' on condition
that the centre continued to house voluntary groups.
The groups occupying the centre are the Camden
Alcoholics Support Association, the Congolese Community Council,
Crime Concern, Medical Justice Network, and Jeremy Corbyn MP.
The centre aims to:
* Deliver quality advice and training.
* Create opportunities for referral within the Centre for users
of the Centre.
* Build partnerships between groups in the centre.
* Help introduce refugee groups to the mainstream.
