African Initiatives works towards creating a world where everyone has their voice heard and is able to challenge injustice. With partners in Africa we empower communities to demand and exercise their rights. Issues include women's rights, girls' education, sustainable livelihoods, natural resource management and land rights. Our UK education programmes are dedicated to raising awareness, challenging injustice and promoting positive images of the developing world. We have a range of projects, publications, events, workshops and training opportunities available for schools and the wider community.

For a small organisation, being part of a vibrant third sector community such as Brunswick Court is invaluable. We can share ideas - sometimes even projects and partners - with like-minded organisations. It allows our work and our approach to be coherent and it means that that our work has wider and greater impact.

Clinks is a national organisation supporting, representing and campaigning for the VCS working with offenders. Locally we support the VCS engaging with new initiatives e.g. Police and Crime Commissioners; research local ‘on-the-ground’ experience of key issues affecting VCOs working with offenders, particularly around commissioning and procurement and women’s services; we offer events and training to improve sustainability, facilitate collaboration and help influence national policy. Brunswick Court provides a great base from which to access the region and the meeting room is really handy. Low rent, green policies and sharing the space with likeminded organisations, plus the local cafes and shops makes it a really nice place to work.
