Susan Ralphs steps down as Managing Director of The Ethical Property Company Ltd
The Ethical Property Company Ltd, one of the UKs largest Social businesses, announced that Managing Director Susan Ralphs has stepped down and will depart her role by the end of 2018.
John Whitaker, Chair of the Board, says, “All who know her are grateful to Sue for her excellent leadership and many accomplishments which have allowed the company to evolve and provide even more space for our tenants. Sue is deeply respected, and we will all miss her very much.”
Ms Ralphs joined the company in 2007 as Finance Director, becoming Managing Director in 2011. She says, “During my 8 years as Managing Director we have thrived during a serious recession, successfully completed one large award-winning project, The Foundry, are about to complete a second, The Green House, and have supported more and more organisations. The wider Ethical Property family has also flourished: we have four international companies working together from a strong base of shared values, and we have a fifth company eager to become a permanent member of the family.
I have built a mature senior team, supported by a skilled wider management group. I am proud of all that they have achieved individually and as a team – I’m convinced it’s the best team we’ve ever had. Together we have changed the culture of the organisation to one which is ambitious and professional but also collaborative and kind. Staff satisfaction levels are extraordinarily high; I could not have wished for better colleagues. At the same time, I have enjoyed great support from John, as Chair, and from other board members.
I’m keen for a smooth transition, and to support my colleagues during this period – so will work with John, the board and the Senior Management Team, to ensure this happens."
